Gustafs Panels System® consists of several high quality products. To meet the market demands it is necessary to be in the absolute front line and have the right products at the right moment. As a result of the increasing demands for fire proof products, Gustafs developed a special panel called “Gustafs FireA” that achieved classification A2, which means that the panel has no contribution to fire.
However the classification system has additional information worth considering. One important issue is the development of smoke, another is if the panel will create droplets when exposed to fire. This means that by only looking at the “A2” you will be given just half of the truth. Gustafs panels, type BF-Panels have, in accordance with the Euroclass system, achieved classification A2-s1, d0.
A2 The panels have no contribution to fire.
s1 The panels contribute little or insignificantly to the development of smoke.
d0 The panels do not create flaming particles or droplets when subjected to fire.
The fire retardant properties of the BF-Panel (Cellulosa Gypsum) are not reliant on chemical treatment; instead it is the mechanical composition of all the details which create the end result.
Protects underlying constructions
Escape corridors and roof structures have high demands for the use of fire retardant materials. It is of little help however if the non-combustible wall or ceiling cladding conveys heat to structures and facilities behind the surfaces which results in the spread of fire. Claddings with K110/K210 for example protect the underlying constructions in the event of fire.
Consequently, approval of cladding materials is always associated with an installation system or method. The Gustafs Panels System® employs Capax as an integral part of its installation and is approved to classification K110/K210.
