Nobel Arkitekter a/s won a competition for the building and renovation of GN Store Nord’s headquarters. The projects involved 30 000 m2 of office space, 10 000 of which was an entirely new building. Three buildings in total were completed at Ballerud, west of Copenhagen during the spring of 2006. Gustafs Panel System in plain birch was installed in two of the buildings .The third building is employed extensively for production and warehousing.

The design of the head office is characterised by an open and flexible office landscape. At the heart of the main building lie two meeting rooms, one cylindrical, the other cubic. A social space for relaxing and contemplation is situated on the roof of these two areas. The area beneath is dedicated to meetings and conferences. The cylindrical unit is clad in panels which have been pre-mounted on curved modules prior to installation; the cubic wall space was installed on site with standard panels.
